Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is an autonomous body functioning under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. Since its inception in 1965, the Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools) have come to be known as centres of excellence in the field of school education promoting national integration and a sense of INDIANNESS among the children while ensuring their total personality development and academic excellence.
KV NTPC Shaktinagar was established in the year 1979. In year 1979 : one started in temporary building from classes I to class V. In year 85 it shifted to its permanent building. Presently, from classes I to XII two sections are running in each classes. In Class XI Science (1-Section) and Commerce (1-Section) are running. In Class XII Science (1-Section) and Commerce (1-Section) are running.
